Introducing the Bam Bam, JR Surfboards' newest high performance to small wave model.
This is the board that took Wade Carmichael to his spot alongside an exciting 2018 WSL Championship Tour rookie class after a 3rd place finish on the 2017 WQS rankings.

SHAPER'S CONCEPT
Wade and Jason Rodd have been working together for over 5 years, with 2017 sparking a new connection between surfer and shaper. Wade has been working more closely than ever with Jason, refining two of his favorite boards, combining them into one... The Bam Bam. Wade was looking for something to perform not only in mushy ’QS conditions but also have the versatility to step it up when the waves were pumping. He was looking for a one trick pony – and he got it.
SHAPE & BENEFITS
The Bam Bam has a very user friendly outline carrying more width and slightly more volume than most standard high performance boards which keeps the flow and makes for a great paddling board. The nose entry rocker is flatter, with a pretty standard tail rocker; the curve between the feet is flatter than other JR models, which creates drive and is great for those big carving power hacks that Wade is known for. To compensate for the flatter or straighter rocker through this section, Jason has also added more single concave than usual, mostly under the front foot and then running more standard depth between the fins. This setup gives the board amazing lift and speed through carving sections as well as off the bottom; it also adds rocker to the rail line. The rail is quite full but lower or pinched towards the outline giving the feeling of a rail with volume for flow but at the same time allowing you to have slightly less foam right out on the rail for bite and hold. These two features of concave and rail combined are the secret to this board still being able to do tight arcs without sliding out. Wade wanted to simplify things so he didn't have to think about what board he should ride in what conditions. The Bam Bam is the answer to that.
