How long does a surfboard last?

A surfboard lifespan depends on usage, care, and surfing conditions. With proper maintenance, a surfboard can last several years or even over 10–20 years. However, surfboards are exposed to constant impact from waves, sand, reefs, and rocks, which can cause damage at any time. We do not guarantee surfboards against breakage.

 

How do I choose the right surfboard for my level?

The best surfboard for your level depends on your experience, fitness, weight, and the type of waves you surf. Beginner surfers usually need more volume for stability and easier wave catching, while intermediate and advanced surfers may prefer more performance-oriented boards. If you are unsure which surfboard to choose, contact us for personalised advice.

 

What size surfboard should I get?

Surfboard size depends on your weight, skill level, and the wave conditions you surf most often.

As a general rule:

More volume = easier paddling and wave entry

Less volume = more performance and manoeuvrability

Do surfboards come with fins?

No. Surfboards are sold without fins. You can choose between FCS or FUTURES fin systems depending on your preference.

 

What fin setup can I choose on a custom surfboard?

You can fully customise your surfboard fin setup. Available configurations include: single fin, twin fin, thruster (3 fins), quad (4 fins), or 5-fin setups. If you are unsure which fin setup is best for your surfboard, contact us for guidance.

 

What is the difference between FCS and Futures fins?

FCS and Futures are two different surfboard fin systems. Both offer high performance but they differ in fitting system. The best choice depends on your surfboard model and personal preference.

 

Do you offer EPS/Epoxy, and Carbon surfboards?

Yes, we offer multiple surfboard constructions, including EPS/Epoxy and Carbon. Each construction offers different performance characteristics such as weight, durability, and flex. Check our Technology section for full details.

 

What are carbon or Innegra tail patches on a surfboard?

Carbon and Innegra tail patches reinforce the tail area of the surfboard. They increase strength and durability in one of the most impact-prone areas of the board. They add no noticeable weight and are highly recommended for improved performance and longevity.

 

Can I request a custom spray design on my surfboard?

Yes, you can request a custom surfboard spray design. We offer standard spray options or fully custom artwork depending on your preference.

 

Can I buy a surfboard gift voucher?

Yes, surfboard gift vouchers are available and are a great gift option for surfers. If you would like to purchase a gift voucher, please contact us.

 

How long does it take to build a custom surfboard?

Custom surfboard production time is approximately 4 weeks.

This may vary depending on:

- Season

- Surfboard design complexity

- Custom specifications

Can I change my surfboard order after placing it?

Order changes may be possible depending on production stage. Once the surfboard reaches the pre-shape stage (CNC machine cut), it is no longer possible to change the model or dimensions. After the lamination stage, it is no longer possible to change fin system and spray design. Contact us as soon as possible if you need changes to your order.

 

Can I track my custom surfboard order?

Yes, you can track your surfboard production online using our online Board Tracker. You can also contact us for updates on your surfboard production stage.

 

How do I take care of my surfboard?

To extend the life of your surfboard:

- Rinse with fresh water after surfing

- Avoid direct sunlight for long periods

- Store in a cool, shaded place

- Use a surfboard bag for transport

 

What should I do if my surfboard gets damaged (ding repair)?

If your surfboard gets a ding, it should be repaired as soon as possible. Leaving damage unrepaired can allow water to enter the foam core and affect performance and durability. Small surfboard repairs can be done with repair kits or by a professional surf repair specialist.

 

How much does surfboard shipping cost?

Surfboard shipping costs depend on the item's category and delivery destination. Please refer to our Shipping & Delivery section for full details.

 

How long does surfboard shipping take?

Delivery times vary depending on order type:

- Custom surfboards: approx. 4 weeks production + shipping time

- Stock surfboards: dispatched within 24 hours

All delivery times are estimates. Check our timetable for an estimated delivery time in your location.

 

How are surfboards packed for shipping?

We take great care in packaging every surfboard. Each board is wrapped in bubble wrap, reinforced with foam protection (rails, nose, tail) and secured in a high-strength protective box. We use trusted courier services to ensure safe delivery.

 

How do I track my surfboard delivery?

Once your surfboard has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details.

 

What happens if an item is out of stock?

If an item is temporarily out of stock after purchase, we will contact you with an estimated restock date. You may choose to wait or request a full refund.

 

Can I return a surfboard if I change my mind?

Stock items / surfboards can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused, unmodified and in original packaging. Custom surfboards are non-returnable.

 

How do I return a stock item / surfboard?

If you wish to return a stock item / surfboard within 14 days, please contact us by email first with your order details. We will then provide you with return instructions and guide you through the process. Items must be unused, unmodified, and returned in their original packaging. Please refer to our Returns Policy section for full details.

 

What is your surfboard warranty policy?

We offer a techincal warranty that covers manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal use, including impacts with waves, sand, rocks, reef, or accidental breakage. Each case is assessed individually, and the surfboard must be inspected before any warranty claim can be confirmed. What happens if my order gest delayed, lost or damaged during shipping?

If your order is delayed by more than 5 business days, please contact us.

If your order is lost or damaged in transit, we will arrange a replacement or full refund.

Please inspect your order upon delivery and report any issues immediately with photos so we can resolve it quickly.

Did you know that if you reside outside the European Union you are entitled to a refund of the VAT (Value Added Tax) paid in our store?

When paying for purchases over 61,50 EUR, ask for a Global Blue Tax Free Form and, on the day of departure, get everything taken care of at the airport.


Tax Free Shopping in 3 steps:

1. Form Issuance: when shopping in our store, you will pay full amount (including VAT) and get a Global Blue Tax-Free Form. Fill out the form with the required information.

2. Customs Validation: at the airport, when leaving the EU, go to the nearest Customs or self- validation Kiosk and present your filled-out Tax Free Form, passport, and original purchase receipts for validation. Goods should be kept unused and available for inspection.

3. VAT Tax Refund: add your payment details online to receive the refund automatically. If you prefer, find a nearby Refund Office displaying the Global Blue star logo, present your validated Tax Free Form and passport, and receive your refund in cash. The refund paid is the VAT value deducted from Global Blue's service fee.
